Korrekt, Theverat. Der Name ist Gene Raskin, und er hat im wesentlichen nur den Text übersetzt. Das Original ist nämlich ein russisches Lied namens "Dorogoi Dlinnoyu". Gesungen hat es dann Mary Hopkin 1968. Am bekanntesten dürfte allerdings die Version der Leningrad Cowboys sein, die englischen und russischen Text vermischen.
Damit wäre dann Theverath dran.
